The 142s have gone!

All of the 142 ‘Pacer’ units have now left the Exeter area.

Units 142064 and 142029 left Exeter for the last time just after midday on Friday 21st October.  Photographic evidence provided by our Treasurer, Tony Jackson, is displayed below!  Five other units took part in a ‘farewell tour’, organised by First Great Western, on Sunday 27th November.  Please visit our gallery for ‘photos of that tour, and other evidence of the departing units.

If you have any ‘photos of the departing Pacers please send them to us at alrug150@gmail.com

142029 is seen here at Exmouth, the day before departing north!

Pacer units 142064 and 142029 depart Exeter St. Davids for the last time.

And just to make sure….

only 2 weeks after leaving Exeter one of the units (No.29), now sporting Northern Rail decals, was noted in service at York on Saturday 5th November working the 15:03 to Sheffield!
