Special Meeting – PLEASE BOOK

STOP PRESS (10/5/16): Unfortunately Nigel Harris is unwell and is unable to attend the meeting. It will however go ahead with Christian Woolmar, and Chris Austin in the Chair.

ALRUG is delighted to announce a Special Meeting at 7.00pm on Monday May 16th 2016.

We will welcome Christian Wolmar (transport writer, broadcaster and columnist in RAIL magazine) for An Evening of Discussion on Railway Topics.  The meeting will start with a short introduction and will then be opened up to the audience for questions and discussion. So please come armed with all those questions you have always been longing to ask about all things rail!

Christian Wolmar will also have copies of his new book – Are Trams Socialist? Why Britain has no Transport Policy for sale at the special price of £8.

The meeting will be held in the Cavendish Ballroom at the Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel, opposite Exeter Central station.

It will be free to ALRUG members.  There will be a charge of £5 for non-members.  We expect this will be a popular event so we are asking everyone to book in advance to secure a place. It would be helpful if you could book as soon as possible please so that we have an idea of numbers, as places are limited. To book–

Christian Wolmar has been writing his RAIL column for 21 years. To celebrate he has offered to come and meet rail groups across the country.
